Raising Bodhisattvas: Creating Liberated Family Systems

Parents and Caregivers only

Join Dojin Sarah Emerson and Meikyo Chelsea True for the final session of Engaged Family Practice.

In this supportive morning of zazen and adult dharma discussion, we’ll explore tending to the world both through the microcosm of the needs of our families, and through outward engagement in the communities around us.

We will consider Zen teachings and mindfulness practices that can support us in creating liberated family systems—so that transformation and healing can spiral outward into our greater communities in sustainable ways.

The group will use a “listening circle” model so we can share our stories, our triumphs, challenges, and insights on the path of raising children. No previous meditation experience is required.

Materials needed:

  • Journal + pen or pencil

This program is for parents and caregivers only and concludes the 2021-2022 Engaged Family Practice program. Parents and caregivers who have not attended a previous Engaged Family Practice program are still welcome to join.
