Four Thursdays, August 20–September 10, 6–7:30 pm PT
In a culture that often measures human worth by productivity and output, this workshop invites participants to explore what is distinctly and irreducibly human—our capacity for empathy, our unique perspective, our ability to be present with difficulty, and our power to connect. Drawing on Zen practice, neuroscience, and contemplative wisdom, we will examine our relationships with technology, with each other, and with the processes that fill our days.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Articulate what makes human consciousness and perspective unique and irreplaceable
- Recognize how their relationship with technology will shape their inner life
- Apply Zen principles of veneration and joyful mind to daily work and relationships
- Practice simple awareness exercises that strengthen the capacity to be with difficulty
- Develop a personal intention for living more fully in the age of AI
