With Meikyo Chelsea True, Junsen Shelly Hughes, and Kanjin Yael Raff Peskin
The SFZC Family Sangha is happy to welcome families to this annual five-night retreat at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center.
In this special offering, we make space for moving at the pace of mountains and waters, discover the wisdom of children, and share the Dharma through family-friendly practice, connection with nature, and creative projects. We connect with the resident community, learning about work practice in the kitchen, zendo, and garden, and we explore family practice as a path for healing our ancestral lineages.
Throughout this retreat, families will have time to practice together. There will also be opportunities for parents and caregivers to receive support from our retreat team while children engage with the Tassajara residents, sharing garden, kitchen, and nature projects in separate groups.
Our Family Sangha team will offer age-appropriate groups for younger children, school-age children, and teens.
The SFZC Family Sangha welcomes multi-generational families, parents, caregivers, self-partnered people, those caring for their elders, grandparents, aunties, uncles, siblings and niblings, foster parents, children of all ages, and anyone dedicated to healing their family lineages.
