Karma is a complex and fascinating topic that is so often understood as a fate we can’t escape. Often, it is referred to flippantly, or with a resigned sigh: “That’s my karma.”
Please join this two-class series engaging this rich topic from the perspective of intention, choice, and a path to liberation.
Part of SFZC’s Transforming Depression and Anxiety (TDA) program, we will integrate our exploration of karma with Buddhist teachings and TDA practices that include mindfulness, meditation, and practical tools from contemporary psychology.
This series is open to anyone who feels they will benefit. The foundation of TDA is living in the present moment, less affected by reactivity, rumination, and worry. Living this way is one of the most powerful antidotes to lowered and agitated moods, and to see what is good in our lives. Transforming karma is an essential way we free ourselves from suffering.
