Description

Yang Sheng 养生 or Life Preservation in Qigong is based on the principles of nurturing and preserving life in the Traditional Chinese Medicine, Daoist, Buddhist and Confucian traditions. This is accomplished through the Three Regulations of Body, Breath, and Mind to achieve harmony and health for life holistically.

For its purpose of life preservation, Yang Sheng Qigong is known for its simplicity and flexibility in daily health maintenance and is generally accessible to people of all ages and various physical capacities.

In this four-week series, we will focus on learning traditional Qigong exercises:

  • Qigong Taichi Warm-up Routine
  • Patting Ba Xu Qigong
  • Eight Breath Qigong

These simple yet practical Qigong tools will help to build flexibility, regulate breathing, detox organs, enhance circulation, and calm the mind.

Following this course, a separate 6-week workshop on Nine Marvelous Qigong Methods will provide the opportunity for more formal study. Please register separately for that series.
