In these gentle offerings for families of all forms, we honor family practice as a full expression of bodhisattva vows. Through creative projects, play, and stories, we learn about our Zen lay-ancestors, receive the wisdom of children, and dedicate ourselves to healing our family lineages.
Seasonal daylong retreats begin in the yurt and may include time outside on the farm and in the gardens or visits to the kitchen or the zendo. Lunch is included and the day ends with a sangha building circle in the Jizo Garden, where we dedicate the merit of our practice to ancestors and those who are suffering.
The SFZC Family Sangha welcomes multi-generational families, parents, caregivers, self-partnered people, those caring for their elders, grandparents, aunties, uncles, siblings and niblings, foster parents, children of all ages, and anyone dedicated to healing their family lineages.
