Neti Mushin Parekh began her Zen training in Australia in 1995 with Subhana Barzaghi Roshi in the Diamond Sangha lineage. In 2001 she moved to the US and continued her training with Daniel Terragno Roshi and completed the koan training in 2007. In 2009 she was authorised as an Diamond Sangha apprentice teacher. In 2011 Neti began studying with Rev. Kokyo Henkel in Santa Cruz CA in the Soto lineage of Suzuki Roshi and was ordained by Rev. Kokyo as a priest in 2017, receiving full transmission in 2021. She moved back to Australia that year to establish the Twining Vines Zen Centre in Canberra which blends both the Soto and Diamond Sangha traditions. She received transmission as a Diamond Sangha Roshi in 2025 with her original teacher, Subhana Barzaghi. Neti also is establishing an off-grid permaculture farm with the hopes of making it available to sangha members as a place of retreat and gentle living.
