Kevin M. Gallagher is an author, attorney, and experience facilitator dedicated to repairing the human connection to nature. He is the founder and lead facilitator of Emergent Resilience, a nonprofit organization that helps individuals and organizations navigate this time of transition with resilience and engagement. He is a Buddhist eco-chaplain and an organizing member of Sacred Activism, a Mind & Life-sponsored think tank exploring the intersection of climate change and mindfulness. He has trained with the the Sati Center for Buddhist Studies, the Center for Council, and the School of Lost Borders. Kevin has guided wilderness adventures on six continents and spent a decade in Washington, D.C. working on Federal and state climate change policy and international conflict issues. He is the author of Hike The World and the forthcoming Climate Rite: Initiation of an Eco-Chaplain, an exploration of the emotional and psychological impacts of a climate-changed world. Kevin practices Vipassana meditation, Kundalini yoga, and Reiki.
