Erik Irvin holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is currently awaiting AMFT registration to begin working in a private practice setting under the supervision of David Rutschman, LPCC.
Erik has taught yoga for over a decade, bringing a profound depth of lived experience to his clinical and somatic work. His foundation is rooted in four years of residential practice living across the San Francisco Zen Center’s various sites. Today, his work seamlessly integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic awareness, and mindfulness.
He is the host of the podcast Open Ground, exploring the intersection of therapy, art, and a wise society. He lives in Oakland with his partner, Alicia.
