
Donna Meyers has been a resident of the Monterey Bay area for 40 years. She and her wife Birdie enjoy, hiking, surfing, yoga, gardening, and travel. They have been long term attendees and day visitors to Tassajara and Green Gulch and life-long supporters of environmental and LGBTQ causes. Donna is a long-time practitioner of Iyengar yoga.
Professionally, Donna is a biologist working in coastal conservation and management along California’s central coast from Santa Barbara to Sonoma County and recently in Mexico and Central America.
Donna served 4 years as a City Council member for the City of Santa Cruz from 2018-2022, including terms as Mayor and Vice Mayor where she spearheaded environmental and municipal policy development on water resources, climate readiness, green work force job development, and housing.
She currently serves as a Board member of the California Marine Sanctuary Foundation. She was previous Board Chair and Board member of the Santa Cruz Natural History Museum.
