Dario Girolami, Keimyo Doshin, is Abbot of Centro Zen L'Arco in Rome, which he founded in 1986 as a sitting group. A former San Francisco Zen Center resident, he was ordained by Zenkei Blanche Hartman and received Dharma Transmission from Eijun Linda Cutts.
Dario holds a MPhil in Buddhism, has taught Zen and World Religions at the American University in Rome, and currently teaches Buddhism at La Sapienza University of Rome. He is deeply engaged in interfaith work as co-president of Religions for Peace Italy and a board member of Religions for Peace Europe. He is also active in the European Buddhist Union, where he is responsible for the development of Buddhist chaplaincy in Europe, including prison chaplaincy. Dario became Abbot of Centro Zen L'Arco in May 2019.
