Chosetsu Lauren Bouyea has been a residential practitioner since 2003 at all three temples of San Francisco Zen Center. She received a degree in environmental studies with a concentration in Eastern religious traditions in 2002. Lauren has served in many temple positions, including garden manager at Green Gulch Farm from 2010-2014. She currently lives at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center, where she served as head student (shuso) in fall 2016 with her teacher, Eijun Linda Cutts.
