As part of our ongoing Inclusion and Belonging Study Sessions, initiated by the City Center Inclusion and Belonging Committee, this session offers a thoughtful introduction to ADHD. These gatherings are designed to build a shared conceptual foundation around themes of belonging and inclusion, helping our sangha develop a common vocabulary and awareness for deepening contemplation and community connection.
Previous sessions have explored topics such as microaggressions, intersectionality, anti-racism, Latinx and Hispanic identity in the U.S., anti-Asian hate, Native voices, and understanding autism.
In this session, we will explore ADHD: the basics of what ADHD is, the experience of practicing with ADHD in sangha, how we can better support and ally with sangha members who experience attention or focus differently, and opportunities for meaningful reflection through small-group discussion.
We hope you will join us! This will be in place of the normal Wednesday night dharma talk.
If you have any questions, concerns or feedback please contact Eli, the Director of Inclusion and Belonging @ directordib@sfzc.org.
NOTE: Preceding the session, from 7:30 - 7:45, there is a 15-minute period of gathering and settling to allow everyone to sign in on time and be prepared for the talk to begin.
