In celebration of Many Hands, Many Hearts, One Sangha, our Zen-a-thon 2026 fundraiser, SFZC will be hosting a Peace Walk for all to participate.
Beginning at the Golden Gate Bridge, SFZC priest Anshi Zachary Smith will lead this 3 mile walk through the Presidio, Crissy Field, and the Marina Green to Fort Mason. There we will have a closing ceremony and dedicate the merit of our effort to the awakening of all beings. An optional ticketed reception follows at Greens Restaurant, with food and beverages.
Our previous Peace Walk sold out as we had a limited number of spots due to permitting. This Peace Walk has the capacity to be much larger, so we are happy to report there should be plenty of room for all. However, space is limited for the Greens reception. We expect this part of the event to fill up quickly. (A waitlist will be available.) There are separate registrations for the walk and the reception; you can attend either or join us for both.
We hope you can join us, rain or shine (check the weather forecast before you arrive!). Wear comfortable, walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and if you wish, your rakusu and/or Buddhist robes are encouraged but not necessary.
SFZC will provide a map of the route or you can download it. Photos will be taken during the walk, so please let us know if you do not want to be in a photo.
- The walk is free and open to the public.
- The Greens Reception is $100 per person and requires an additional registration.
It is important to register in advance so we can plan for attendance.

If you haven't already, please consider donating to our Zen-a-thon campaign.
