During our afternoon sessions, we’ll be exploring the beautiful and inspiring teachings of the founder of Soto Zen, Dogen Zenji, in his essay titled, “Bodaisatta- Shishobo,” or the “The Bodhisattvas Four Embracing Actions.” The bodhisattva’s four embracing actions are giving, kind speech, beneficial action, and identity-action (or ‘cooperation’). They are specific tools and practices for cultivating and manifesting our life as Bodhisattvas ─ as people committed to the welfare, liberation, and enlightenment of all living beings ─ in whatever situation we may find ourselves.

All levels of practice experience are welcome.
