Enso Village Marketing Coordinator

Kendal is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Marketing Coordinator - The Kendal Corporation web page - for our new Zen-inspired Senior Living community that is taking shape on a hillside setting amid the bountiful vineyards of Healdsburg, which is just 20 minutes north of Santa Rosa. This new community, called Enso Village, is a collaboration between San Francisco Zen Center, the largest residential Zen Buddhist community in the West, and Kendal, a visionary Quaker-based provider of retirement community services.

Enso Village will be focused on mindfulness and living fully in the present moment. Plans currently call for 220 independent living, 30 assisted living and 24 memory support residences set among rolling hills in wine country. The community will offer a Zendo for meditation, healthy dining options, and will focus on living lightly on the land, while contributing widely to the greater Healdsburg community. We hope to begin construction in 2020 and anticipate opening in late 2022.

The Marketing Coordinator is expected to anchor the Sales Team by serving as the "face" of the department in all daily interactions. Additionally, this individual provides administrative support in all aspects of departmental operations, as well as planning assistance for events and promotions, and leadership in transition management for new residents.

The successful Marketing Coordinator will have a high school diploma with three to five years' administrative or office management experience; demonstrated interest in continued growth and learning; must master the technical aspects of the role including the computing and reporting environment, accounts payable, and inventory controls; and capable oral and written communication skills.

San Francisco Zen Center (SFZC) seeks a full-time Major Gifts Officer whose initial focus will be fundraising for a capital campaign to renovate its historic facility in San Francisco. By way of preparing this Julia Morgan-designed building to enter its second century, SFZC will make it more welcoming and accommodating to residents and visitors, and will improve its environmental balance.

This is a responsible position offering an opportunity to use your experience and grow your skills in partnership with other development professionals. We’re looking for candidates with enthusiasm, self-direction, people skills, as well as administrative and database skills.

  • You will identify likely supporters, convey SFZC’s values and mission, partner with leadership, conduct visits, prepare correspondence and proposals, ask for commitments, and structure your strategies and progress using all the bells and whistles of Salesforce.

Reporting Relationship

Report to the Capital Campaign Manager. Partner with the Director of Development and the Campaign Manager to set first-year goals.
