Caregivers’ Sitting, CC 10/11

Description
This half-day sitting for caregivers is intended to offer a time of refuge and learning about supportive meditation practices. Led by Outreach Coordinator Ellen Simpson, it will include instructions in sitting and walking meditation, a short lecture with Q&A, and an opportunity for individual instruction. Forms for sitting and moving in the zendo (meditation hall) will be briefly discussed.
Open to all caregivers, including nurses, daycare providers, and people taking care of family members. Offered by donation.
Ellen Simpson
Rev. Odo Ellen Simpson first came to Zen practice in 2010, and studied as a nonresident at City Center while working as a healthcare provider. She received Buddha’s precepts and lay initiation from Shosan Victoria Austin in 2014.
