Sunday, November 29, 9:00 am–5:00 pm, in the Yurt
The hungry ghost is a powerful Buddhist metaphor for insatiable hunger of any kind: physical, emotional, or mental. As people inclined to addictive behaviors, we have experienced ourselves (and perhaps still do) as always wanting more, needing more.
Through the wise nourishment of our twining vines of recovery and practice, we can befriend these hungry ghosts so that they no longer roam the landscape of our heart-minds to plague us.
Please join us for a day of sitting, personal and shared reflection, dharma talks, and dyads. We will explore who our hungry ghosts are, what they want from us, and how we might assuage them so that we might journey from suffering to wellbeing with compassion and grateful hearts.
