Yoga of Zen, ZMC 5/19–5/24

May 19 @ 4:00 pm - May 24 @ 11:00 am
Practice Center: Tassajara
Date / Time: May 19, 2026 / 4:00pm - May 24, 2026 / 11:00am

Description

Beginnings invite us to pause and listen—to interrupt old patterns and meet ourselves anew.

This retreat offers yoga rooted in self-exploration. Students are guided to listen to the intelligence of the body, cultivating enough quiet to truly hear it. The physical practice is approached not as something to fix or perfect, but as an experience to inhabit from the inside. Through attention to subtle sensations, small details become meaningful, allowing the practice to be fully embodied and deeply felt.

Supported by daily zazen, yoga, and the natural stillness of Tassajara, we will engage in experiential exercises, guided meditations, and reflection. Together, these practices help transform our stories, emotions, and aspirations into sources of nourishment. Zen sessions cultivate attention, inner quiet, and open awareness—supporting mind and body to move as one through the yoga asana practice.

Some experience of yoga and meditation is preferable but not essential.
