Description

Return to Our Senses offers a life-changing invitation to come home to what is most reliable and intimate: our direct, embodied experience. In a time marked by turbulence, speed, and chronic uncertainty, this book presents the somatic mindfulness practice of Sensory Awareness as a practical and deeply humane antidote to disconnection and overwhelm.

This evening will include readings, stories, and an opportunity to practice together.

“To read Return to Our Senses is to take part in a moving journey through pain, love, joy, and compassionate concern for this world and everything in it. Lee Klinger Lesser shares her life honestly with us, and in the process shares the stories of many others (war veterans, firefighters, a man on death row) whose lives have been opened by the work of Sensory Awareness, a practice of embodied wisdom Klinger Lesser learned from her mentor Charlotte Selver, whose teachings she describes. Hope seems hard to come by these days; this book will give you hope.”
