Britt Fohrman

Britt Fohrman

Britt Fohrman fell in love with yoga in 1993 and has been teaching since 1997. While her foundation is rooted in the Iyengar lineage, a 10 year struggle with chronic illness inspired her to go deeply into Restorative Yoga, Viniyoga and Buddhism. Having studied therapeutic yoga and movement with many of the leaders in the field, Britt still believes it's her own healing journey, as well as that of her students, that has taught her the most. Along with her steadfast belief in the healing power of yoga, Britt brings resourcefulness and warmth to her classes. Her style of teaching emphasizes individualized alignment, meditative focus and breath guided movement; imbued with levity, compassion and honesty. She encourages you to step out of your head, into your body and on a yoga journey that supports you wherever you are. One of Britt's specialties lies in working with childbearing women, where she also employs her talents as a photographer, doula, childbirth educator and bodyworker. A passionate adventurer and athlete, Britt spends most of her free time traveling, surfing, hiking with her dog and dancing with the performance art group Billion Jelly Bloom.
