SUMMARY:A Zen Christmas\, Online 12/8
DESCRIPTION:The Zoom link to participate in this event will be provided at least 24 hours before it begins. Please call 415-354-0360 if you have any questions. \n\nDecember 8\, 7:00–9:00 pm PT \nHave you ever wondered how to integrate the warm spirit of modern Christmas celebrations with Buddhist faith and practice? This single-session\, free event will explore the birth stories of Jesus and Shakyamuni Buddha\, as well as dharma lessons from popular contemporary Christmas stories like A Christmas Carol and Frosty the Snowman\, along with selected Christmas carols. \nWe’ll look at examples of blended Buddhist/Christian celebration\, and suggestions for ways to honor the Christmas season while recognizing the richness of our personal spiritual paths. There will be time for participants to share experiences and ideas\, as well as a light-hearted opportunity to just be together in the beloved community during this celebratory season. \nRecordings:\nAll course sessions will be recorded\, and registered participants will receive temporary access to the recordings for later viewing.
