Anger can be useful—but it's important to channel it strategically rather than let it consume you. How does meditation interrupt strong emotions like anger within the practice of compassionate response? During this 4-hour Zoom training, you'll learn a step-by-step process (rooted in Nonviolent Communication) to work through strong emotions by uncovering what triggered you, discovering what's under the feelings, identifying what you want instead of what you don't want, and explore next steps for self-care and healing.
Anger is a primary emotion experienced as powerful, necessary, and creative. It is an energetic force and reveals our desires, alerts us to our needs for profound change, and calls on us to take action. Seeing anger as a mirror reflecting our inner needs, we are all called to question: How do I practice with emotions that make me uncomfortable? How can I be compassionate with myself when I am feeling so much shame?
Instead of trying to minimize anger, or engaging in destructive patterns, learn how to healthily and productively express anger to work through conflict and have empowered conversations successfully.
