Beyond Words Event

Saturday, 6 – 8 pm PT

Watching the moon at midnight,
solitary, mid-sky,
I knew myself completely
No part left out.
—Izumi Shikibu

Sharing stories of overlooked women in Buddhist history is an act of reparation—weaving the parts left out into a wider, more complete understanding of Buddhism. In this evening talk, Pamela Weiss, author of A Bigger Sky: Awakening a Fierce Feminine Buddhism, and Sebene Selassie, author of You Belong: A Call for Connection, will discuss how the reintegration of Buddhist women and qualities of the feminine have transformed their understanding of walking the Path, and share a more inclusive, collective vision of practice and awakening.

  • This event will be recorded and available to registered participants for one week following the event.
