Four Wednesdays, 6 – 7:30 pm
Want to learn how to meditate? Or have you tried at different times but just can’t quite figure out how to make it work for you?
This four-class series is geared just for you. Specific and easy-to-follow instructions will be given in three areas: body, heart/emotions and mind/mental states. Each week, specific meditation instructions will be given, with an opportunity to put them into practice and have your questions answered. We’ll cover areas such as how to achieve a meditation posture and meditation schedule to how to work with challenging emotions and mental states.
During the course and for two weeks after (six, total), you’ll have access to a webpage which includes guided meditations, hand-outs, and other related articles or weblinks, providing you with 24/7 support for practice in the time between classes. There will be opportunities to share with others in the group if you choose, fostering a team-like, shared experience to encourage and support your efforts to learn and practice meditation.
Think of this class as a “training camp”—a container for you to establish a meditation practice of your own at home while having a “coach” and “team” to practice with and received support from.
Now in the 12th year of being offered, this course on what I like to call “the craft of meditation” has helped thousands to establish a sustainable meditation practice. Join us to see how it can work for you!
