Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the center cannot hold ...

The poem “The Second Coming” by W.B. Yeats is perhaps more timely than ever. We live in a time of rapid change and uncertainty. One of the key teachings of Buddha is the truth of impermanence. Things we believe in and count on are swept out from under us and we have a profound sense of groundlessness. Sometimes, we seem to fall apart and this is exactly the moment when many of us turn to practice. How can we find a sense of equanimity in this tilting life? We will be working with many teachings that can support us, both contemporary and classic.
