The title of this presentation is inspired by Buddhist teachings on the "self" and the song "Express Yourself" by Charles Wright and the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band. What artistic expressions and Buddhist practices inspire you to speak your truth and connect with others? What is happening in the world right now that causes you to respond, shut down, advance or retreat? What are you creating, not creating, or destroying, that contributes to our culture of violence, nurturance, lies, truth, guns, peace movements, and so on? In short, what is your contribution to the social chaos we find ourselves in? If we were born for such a time as this, how does and can Zen Buddhism impact our culture?
