A Beyond Words Event

Saturday, 6 – 8 pm PT

The path laid out by the Buddha moves us away from unnecessary suffering and towards liberation. Yet our sanghas exist within a larger context of a society filled with violence, injustice, and oppression. These social ills can seep into our communities, our families, and our lives in ways that cause great suffering, especially when conflicts are not held skillfully. How is the worldview of restorative justice—an alternative paradigm of responding to, and healing from harm—related to the teachings of the Dharma? How can these practices support the healing and growth of our relationships, internally, interpersonally, in spiritual communities, and among strangers?

Join us as we welcome two restorative justice practitioners, both with a background in Buddhist practice. Through presentations and Q&A, we will explore how the intersection of these two worlds can support liberation.
