Description

The Zoom link to participate in the workshop portion of this event will be provided at least 24 hours before it begins. Please call 415-354-0360 if you have any questions.

Saturday, 2 – 4 pm PT

In this two-hour workshop we will take a closer look at Bodhidharma’s Two Entrances and Four Practices and Sengcan’s Trusting the Mind and see how they didn’t just repeat what they learned but made it new.

In Bodhidharma’s case, he outlines the twofold approach of the Lankavatara but simplifies its teaching concerning the storehouse consciousness and womb of the tathagatas by focusing on karma. In Sencan's case, he exchanges Laozi’s teaching of duality for the non-duality of emptiness.

There will be time for discussion and questions, so please bring your energy and inquiry.
