In the Wheelwright Center
The Buddha taught that much of our self-created suffering stems from our deeply embedded wish for things to be otherwise. In this one day retreat, we will explore Tara Brach’s book Radical Acceptance. We will look into ways in which we may unwittingly constrict our lives with self-judgment, addiction, perfectionism, overwork, and unrealistic expectations of self and others. How do we loosen these ties and find joy in accepting life on life’s terms? We will also investigate other teachings and Zen passages, engaging the wisdom of the group to help enliven these words in our everyday lives.
