Writing and Creativity in Recovery

“The creative process points us towards our essential nature, which is a reflection of the boundless creativity of the universe.” —John Daido Loori, 2005

Each day we have the opportunity to write a 10th step; pausing to reflect upon the current condition of our recovery and spiritual lives. Yet many of us find creating lists only useful or tolerable for just so long. In this workshop we will practice bringing mindful awareness to our daily condition using creativity and journaling to dig deep, reflect powerfully, and have fun doing it. There will be sitting and walking meditation, opportunities to use your artistic and creative skills, or just to write your story with positivity, mindfulness, and mirth. Bring a lunch and wear loose, comfortable clothes.
