September 1-4, 2014 (Monday-Thursday)
All levels welcome.
Extend the joy and presence of retreat practice into daily life by cultivating a nourishing and continuous home practice.
The traditions of Zen and yoga encourage us to establish a routine of daily practice or sadhana. By doing so, we bring the sacred into our homes and ground daily life in the rhythms of practice. Through sitting, chanting, pranayama, asana, and Zen teachings, we’ll explore ways to carry our intentions for practice back into our day-to-day lives. We’ll cover essentials such as creating a home practice space and altar, making time for practice, and how to meet resistance when it arises. Each student will be guided in finding a specific daily practice that is sustainable and nourishing within his or her own life circumstances.
Please note that the retreat fee does not include accommodations. Retreats begin late afternoon on the indicated start date and end in the morning on the indicated end date. Visit the Rooms & Rates section and determine your preferred accommodations before making your reservations request online.
