Andrew J. Mellen is an author, speaker, and professional organizer. He can be found on the web. He’s been called “The Most Organized Man in America,” for good reason—as an organizer and workshop leader, he has helped thousands of people across the U.S. to unclutter their lives and gain time for the things that are really important … which often aren’t even things at all. A sought-after educator and personality, Andrew’s been featured widely in the media—appearing everywhere from The Nate Berkus Show; O, The Oprah Magazine; Martha Stewart Living Today; Oprah & Friends; Great Day Houston, ABC, NBC, CBS and CW11 to HGTV; Ladies’ Home Journal; Woman’s Day; Live Well Network; USA Today; GQ; In Style; All You; Fine Living; Better TV; DIY Network; and NPR. In addition to leading workshops and speaking appearances, he maintains a private practice offering one-to-one sessions to clients ranging from CEOs, attorneys and psychologists to award-winning filmmakers, artists and authors. Unstuff Your Life!, his first book, is currently in its sixth printing, with translations in Russian and a soon-to-be audio book from Audible. In a previous life he was an award-winning playwright, actor, producer, and director and the former Artistic Director of Alice B. Theater (Seattle), DC Arts Center (Washington, DC) and Shuttle Theater Company (New York). A native of Detroit, Andrew spent six years in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where he attended Northern Michigan University (B.A., Language/Literature/Theater). Along with several scholarships, he put himself through college playing drums in several local and touring bands. As a long-time student of Buddhism, Andrew has studied with Tenzin Robert Thurman, Sharon Salzberg, and Eido Shimano Roshi.
