Paul Grantham is a systems executive with a twenty-year history of leading software and systems for international firms in finance, telecommunications, and transportation industries, including DHL, Sprint, Covad, Xerox PARC, and BankAmerica. Most recently, he was the Chief Operations Officer of a successful Silicon Valley on-line banking start-up. Paul has a MS in Mathematics and in Computer Science/Operations Research. He speaks German and Chinese and travels to practice in China. He has been meditating since his college days in Berkeley and has been active in Zen Center programs, sesshins, and classes since 1995. In 2001 he received lay ordination (jukai), with Blanche Hartman and Jordan Thorn as his practice leaders. He was elected to the SFZC board in 2007.
