Invoke Your Muse by Writing from Beginner's Mind, GGF 3/4
With Cynthia Cummins and Laurie Senauke
in the Wheelwright Center at Green Gulch Farm Zen Center
Saturday, March 4, 2017, 10 am – 4 pm
No previous experience necessary, although the ability to speak, read, and write English is essential. Bring a pen and paper; laptop use is not suited to this modality.
Free your voice, cultivate your creativity and share your stories in a supportive and inspiring group setting.
In this one-day gathering, we bring to light the tales we want (and need) to tell. Through mindfulness and writing practice, we find a pathway to compelling and authentic expression. Writing becomes easy and natural by using meditation, visualizations, poetry and fun props like images and found objects. Suited to novices and experts alike, Wild Heart Writing is a way to discover the writer within, jumpstart any writing project or add tools to your wordsmith’s belt. It’s a shortcut to beginner’s mind, where we “allow” writing rather than “doing” it, and discover what we don’t know. Come befriend and share the remarkable artist within yourself.
Fee: $110; $99 current SFZC members; $88 limited income.
