with Sonja Gardenswartz
What often brings us to Zen practice is our experience of suffering and our desire to end suffering and be of benefit in the world. Deepening our understanding of our relationship to suffering and our wish to be free of it can connect us with vow as a way to guide and anchor our lives in practice. In this class, we will explore how we can develop our awareness of these fundamental practice intentions so that we can fully actualize our life's work. In the six weeks, we will look at what vow means and surface the vows we have already made, including both those that we are aware of and those that we may not be. We will use our daily chants and sutras as support in this exploration.
Six-week class series fee:
$90; $81 current SFZC members; $72 limited income.
