with Ingen Breen and Shokuchi Deirdre Carrigan
in Still Water Hall at Green Gulch Farm
December 18 - 20, 2015
4 pm Friday - 1 pm Sunday
Experience the joy and wonder of balancing mind and body amid the deep quiet of Green Gulch Farm as we approach the winter solstice.
Explore the core of both traditions, discovering how they support and complement each other, as we bring our lives into a deeper, fuller and richer communication with reality. Alternating between sitting meditation and yoga asana, we come to appreciate how the practices are both different and the same, not two and not one. A full schedule of Zen and Yoga sessions is offered, providing the opportunity to experience an intensive retreat (see schedule
). Participation is flexible, however, and you are free to take time to walk about and enjoy the natural beauty of Green Gulch Farm.
It is possible to participate in this retreat residentially or non-residentially. All levels of practice are welcome. Fees:
$200; $180 current SFZC members; $160 limited income.
- Please note that the retreat fee does not include accommodations. For overnight accommodations and three meals per full day, please call the Green Gulch office at 415-383-3134.
- Meals for commuters: fee includes Friday dinner and Saturday lunch, with option to join public lunch Sunday by donation.
- Some partial scholarships available.
