Five Tuesdays: June 24 - July 22

Zen practice is grounded in the embodied experience of the present moment as it is. Yet the tradition of Zen has embraced a variety of forms of ritualized expression. What is the meaning of this?

This class will explore the ways in which we find expression through ritual. We will study ritual as an expression of community, gratitude and understanding. Short readings will be provided in class, and will be taken from a variety of Zen texts.

Fees: $75; $67 current SFZC members; $60 limited income. Some partial scholarships available. (About Registration, Scholarships and Cancellations.)
