Saturday, January 3, 2015   Eventbrite - One-Day Sitting (Sep/GGF)
1 - 4 pm

This retreat is based on the stories in the groundbreaking book, The Hidden Lamp: Stories from Twenty-Five Centuries of Awakened Women. Spend an afternoon with one of the editors of the book, Sue Moon, and celebrate awakening in every form, through silence, inquiry, dialogue and writing. The stories in the book come from ancient and modern Buddhist women—teachers, mothers, nuns, courtesans, queens and servants. Together, we will develop a greater appreciation for the wisdom and courage we all have, whatever form our lives take and whatever roles we live within.

Books are available for purchase at the Zen Center bookstore. Zen Center members receive a 10% discount on The Hidden Lamp and other purchases.

Fees:  $40; $36 current members; $32 limited income. Some partial scholarships available. No one turned away for lack of funds.
