Green Gulch Farm Zen Center, also known as Green Dragon Temple (Soryu-ji), is a Buddhist practice center in the Japanese Soto Zen tradition offering training in Zen meditation and ordinary work.
Our effort at Green Gulch is to awaken in ourselves and the many people who come here the bodhisattva spirit, the spirit of kindness and realistic helpfulness. This is how we offer our understanding of Buddha's Way.
The public program Sunday includes zazen instruction, a dharma talk and tea. Here's a listing of upcoming lecturers. Sunday public lunch is suspended through August 2014 as we make improvements to some of our temple buildings and grounds. Thanks for your patience! (More info on Renovation.) To encourage carpooling, vehicles with two or more people park free; a $5 donation is suggested for single drivers.
From May to October, Green Gulch organic produce is sold at Green Gulch and at various Farmers' Markets.
Due to our major creek restoration project, there will be weekday trail closures at the bottom of Green Gulch from mid-August through October. (Details and map.)
