Siobhan Cassidy
Siobhan Cassidy was born in London, England, where she lived until moving to San Francisco at the age of 26. She has lived in the Bay Area since then and was in residence at San Francisco Zen Center from 2000 to 2008. Siobhan has participated in practice periods at City Center, Green Gulch Farm, and Tassajara, most recently in the Fall of 2015. She was lay ordained by Gaelyn Godwin at Hosshinji in 2004 and has studied with Christina Lehnherr since then. Siobhan is a trained mediator with over eight years of experience mediating community and personal conflicts. She teaches mediation trainings three times a year for Community Boards in San Francisco. Before returning to SFZC in 2016 as Program Coordinator, Siobhan worked at Park Day School, a progressive, independent K-8 school in Oakland, California. She currently resides in Berkeley with her wife Sally Chang. Siobhan is the shuso/head student for the Winter 2017 Practice Period at City Center.
