Sessei Meg Levie
Sessei Meg Levie, MA, has been practicing Soto Zen for 25 years and has lived residentially at the San Francisco Zen Center since 1994. She received ordination as a Zen priest in 2003 from Tenshin Reb Anderson and held the position of shuso in 2007. She has practiced monastically at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center, studied Buddhism in Thailand and Japan, and for three years served as the teacher for the Bolinas branch of the Mountain Source Sangha.

Since 2008 Meg has been exploring ways to bring awareness practices to the wider world. She has served as VP of Teacher Development at the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI), where she continues to teach a leadership and personal development program grounded in mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and science, created at Google. She piloted successful SIY internal train-the-trainer programs at Google and SAP and has taught mindfulness internationally at a broad range of companies, including LinkedIn, Twitter, and Genentech. As an executive coach, she enjoys working with entrepreneurs, CEOs, and other leaders to help them bring greater clarity, effectiveness, and wellbeing into their lives and their organizations.

She holds an AB in English Literature from Stanford University and an MA from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently she lives at City Center with her husband, Jeremy, and their daughter, Elizabeth.
