Lay Initiation Ceremony – Jukai, CC 4/27

The ceremony is followed by a reception.

New Year’s Eve at City Center

This event begins at 8:30 pm with a work meeting followed by temple cleaning. Noodle soup is served at 10:00. The han begins at 10:30 to signal zazen at 10:45. There will be two periods of zazen and the ringing of the densho 108 times. The night ends with a bonfire in the courtyard. Donations are appreciated.

Shunryu Suzuki Roshi Annual Memorial, CC 12/10, 7am

Wednesday Full Moon Ceremony with Small Groups, 7:30 pm, CC 12/23

7:30 - 9 pm

When the Full Moon Ceremony coincides with our usual Wednesday evening dharma talk, the ceremony is preceded by small group meetings in which the participants discuss their reflections on the precepts. The ceremony is a formal confession, repentance and reavowal, accompanied by several bows.
