City Center Buddha Hall Cultivate a feeling of presence, attention to breath and mindfulness.
In this workshop we will explore our inner world via sitting meditation and Vinyasa Yoga. We will open, strengthen and energize our bodies with a flowing sequence of poses linked together with Ujjayi breath, paying attention to proper alignment and body-mechanics. We will emphasize hip-opening poses to prepare ourselves to sit on our cushions or floor comfortably. We will cultivate a feeling of presence, attention to breath and mindfulness during asana practice and end in Savasana - complete relaxation. After preparing our bodies we will practice sitting and walking meditation. Finally - we will endeavor to take what we've cultivated on our mats and cushions into our lives. Workshop fees:
