When the fluctuations of the mind settle down, one's own body becomes the seat of direct experience leading to awakening. Starting with the body presenting itself at this moment, how do we resolve its difficulties to rest in a progressively more uninterrupted state of awareness?
This five-week Iyengar yoga class will present various levels and layers of our human life to directly compare and contrast using a repeated series of poses: physical, emotional, physiological, intellectual, causal, and spiritually meaningful. Please come with an empty stomach, clean hands and feet, and comfortable clothing that exposes hands, feet and knees. Fees:

Shosan Victoria Austin
Shosan Victoria Austin began practicing both Zen and yoga in 1971. In the Soto Zen tradition, she is entrusted as a Dharma heir in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki, an international priest of the Soto School, and a Dharma teacher at San Francisco Zen Center. She trained in the U.S., in India, and in Japan. In the Iyengar tradition, she is certified as an Intermediate teacher.
