CANCELED
Saturday, November 10
1 - 4 pm
with Destiny Goldsberry and Sara Tashker

Buddha Hall at 300 Page Street

Mental habits are the root of so much of our internal and external disharmony.

In this workshop we will practice the art of bringing our mind and body into harmony through the ancient practices of Zen and yoga. We will also emphasize the vital importance of allowing our body-mind to really be in the experience it is having - however out of harmony it feels - without trying to change or control it. We will build skills for honoring the sacredness of each passing moment and learn to harmonize all that we experience within through Zen, movement, and conscious breath.

This afternoon workshop will include guided yoga practice, seated Zen meditation and instruction, a Dharma talk, and some time for sharing.

Fees: $40; $36 SFZC members; $32 limited income.

To Register: Use the Ticket Table below. Or call our toll free number 888.743.9362 or our local number 415.475.9362.

Sara Tashker
Sara Tashker has been an organic farmer and residential practitioner at San Francisco Zen Center since 2002. From 2007 she has helped lead Green Gulch Farm’s six-month Organic Farm and Garden Apprenticeship for people interested in integrating residential Zen Buddhist practice and hands-on training in organic farming and gardening. She loves that her every activity is the fertile ground of Zen practice: growing food, relating to community, being a mother, appreciating the breath and body. In fall 2011 she served as Head Student (shuso) at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center with Abbot Myogen Steve Stücky and Sojun Mel Weitsman. She currently lives and practices at Green Gulch Farm with her husband and their son Frank.
