Seven Thursdays: January 29 - March 12, 2015
7:30 - 9 pm   Eventbrite - One-Day Sitting (Sep/GGF)

Karma means "intentional action," and the process of changing our karma springs from our deep intention to live meaningful and beneficial lives. We will study teachings on cause and effect from Buddha, Zen Master Dogen, and our founder, Shunryu Suzuki Roshi, as well as the famous fox koan, which deals with the appearance of a mysterious shape-shifting fox-human in the sangha. We will address ancient and contemporary views regarding rebirth.

In addition to our study and discussion of these materials, you will be invited (but not required) to create your own artistic expression of the Wheel of Life and/or the fox koan. This class is appropriate for all levels.

Fees: $140; $126 current SFZC members; $84 limited income. Some partial scholarships available.

To Register: Use the Register Online button above. Or call our toll free number (888.743.9362) or our local number (415.475.9362).
