Five Tuesdays: May 20 - June 17, 2014
7:30 - 9 pm

In this class we will explore in depth seven Zen practices for continually opening to wonder in joyous and difficult states of bodymind: Warm Zazen, Vow, Wide Field, Question, Purposelessness, Connection and Immediacy. We will engage wholeheartedly with each practice and discuss our experiences as we take them into our everyday lives.

$75; $67 current SFZC members; $60 limited income. Some partial scholarships available. (About Registration, Scholarships and Cancellations.)

Hobu Beata Chapman
Hobu Beata Chapman has practiced Zen with chronic nerve pain and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) for 23 years. She studied with Katherine Thanas at Santa Cruz Zen Center and with Darlene Cohen until her untimely death, and received Dharma transmission from Tony Patchell in 2013. Beata continues the Suffering & Delight groups for people with chronic pain that Darlene founded nearly 20 years ago, and teaches an online S&D group she began for people not able to attend in person.
