Front Office Hours

Public Transit to City Center

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit): the closest BART station to City Center is Civic Center. From Civic Center, catch one of the buses listed below, above ground on Market Street.

MUNI buses: Lines 6, 7, 66, 71 run frequently and stop at Haight and Laguna, one block from City Center.

The "F" Line street cars, which run on Market Street, stop at Laguna and Market.

The 21 Hayes (Hayes at Laguna stop); or the 22 Fillmore (Fillmore at Oak stop) will take you within a short walk from our building.

Rideshare

If you need a ride or can offer a ride to or from City Center, please post it on the SFZC Rideshare board.    

 

Driving Directions to City Center

    South Bay 

    • Take 101 North until it ends at Octavia and Market St.
    • Go straight onto Octavia
    • Take a left on Fell St.
    • Take the first left onto Laguna St.
    • Take a right onto Page St.
    • Zen Center is a large, brick building on the corner of Page and Laguna, about 3 blocks from Market

     East Bay 

    • Take the Bay Bridge East to San Francisco
    • Follow the signs to the Golden Gate Bridge
    • Take the Octavia Street offramp
    • Head North on Octavia Street
    • Turn left on Fell and get into the left lane
    • Turn Left on Laguna Street
    • Zen Center is a large, brick building on the corner of Page and Laguna, about 3 blocks from Market

     Marin 

    • Take the US-101 SOUTH ramp towards DOWNTOWN/LOMBARD ST.
    • Merge onto US-101
    • US-101 becomes US-101/RICHARDSON AVE.
    • US-101/RICHARDSON AVE becomes US-101/LOMBARD ST.
    • Turn RIGHT onto US-101/VAN NESS AVE.
    • Turn RIGHT onto MARKET ST.
    • Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto PAGE ST.

    Parking and Safety

    As you park, please bear in mind that City Center is situated in the heart of the city and theft does occur. We recommend the following tips, created by the neighboring Shambhala Center:

    1. To help make your vehicle be as untempting of a target as possible, please keep your vehicle empty and clear of any visable items, valuable or not.

    2. Do report incidents. This helps the police and other city agencies know what is happening so they can allocate city resources appropriately. In general: call 9-1-1 for emergencies or crimes in progress, and call 3-1-1 to reach all other non-emgergency city services.
