with Shosan Victoria Austin
in the Conference Center at 308 Page Street
Wednesday mornings, January 29 - March 19
7:30 - 8:20 am
Yoga is the art, science and specific teaching of how to wake up at every level of human life. Through self-study and right action, we understand the physical, mental and spiritual systems of the body, independently and interdependently. We address ourselves to the thorough study of freedom.
In this morning class, we will practice series of yoga asanas, or postures, that meet specific needs in body and mind, and explore the ways in which these needs and processes interact to experience freedom. Modifications will be taught to make the poses welcome and accessible for a wide variety of abilities.
Please wear comfortable clothing that exposes elbows and knees, such as a T-shirt and shorts; and please come with an empty stomach.
